My thoughts:

Letizia Lorini is my new instant buy author. Her books instantly captivate me and made me feel so many emotions. I forget about the real world when reading.

The wedding menu kept me on my toes with the twists and turns that I would never expect to happen.

Amelie is a French quezine chef and dreams about opening her own restaurant, but along the way of working with her dad, she has forgotten. The poor girl goes through so much in a short period of time, I don't know how she does it, I would have crumpled. Luckily, throughout it, she has her best friend until she doesn't.

Ian, oh how much I'd love to have him in my life. He is a sweet golden retriever Tattoo hottie

While I didn’t enjoy the miscommunication and the back and forth between the characters I really liked the mmc and the story overall. It’s on the slower side when it comes to pace and I would say it’s longer than it was necessary in some parts but the relationship felt very deep and the issues made the book more significant.

OH MY GOSH
I laughed and cried and absolutely DEVOURED THIS BOOK!!! I may have accidentally started it before bed and read the whole book and now it's 6:15 am... oops
There was definitely a few points in the book I was yelling at the characters to GET IT TOGETHER but holy crap did it pay off! I can't wait till I can can get the actual physical book thank you so much for the ARC !!!!!!!!!!
emotional funny

Everything about this book is just incredible!! I seriously could not put it down. It is so beautiful, I genuinely laughed out loud and sobbed at so many unexpected moments. Quite literally the only issue i have with this book is the unpopular opinion that Beyoncé is overrated because i’m not taking the opinion of a grown man who doesn’t eat vegetables seriously when it comes to Queen Bey

Thank you Letizia for an ARC of this book!

IAN!!! That's all you really need to know. Haha, kidding. But seriously, he was absolutely my fav character in this. The texts. Wait, let me give it proper recognition. THE. TEXTS. Bc y'all Ian was there for Amelie 24 fucking 7. Even if he was asleep, he'd wake up for her. 🫠 Like what man could be better? He never pushed her too hard but he pushed her enough to get her to fight for herself. And you know what? Sometimes she still fell a little short. But that's okay bc Ian fought for her instead.

And Amelie. Our dear Amelie bc how many of us are people pleasers? 🙋🏻‍♀️ How many of us have a hard time speaking up for ourselves? 🙋🏻‍♀️ She often felt like a reflection (well, with extra skills that I don't have 😅) and seeing her break free of the people who dragged her down felt so cathartic. Bc she worked hard for everyone and in everything she did. She deserved more than a little recognition for it!

And y'all, this is a dual timeline. I both loved it and hated it. Okay I didn't really hate it; it just prolonged my agony bc WHAT IN THE HELL HAPPENED BETWEEN THEN AND NOW? Apparently a lot and that's all I can say. 😅

I'd be doing everyone a disservice if I didn't mention the butter. Bc wow, I did not expect that... but maybe we should all start carrying emergency butter sticks? 😂 And since we're on the topic of food, someone please tell me how Ian does what he does with the palette he has. Yes, I'm being vague bc it is so much more fun to experience that moment for yourself but I couldn't not mention it bc it made me laugh so hard. 🤣
