This book, according to most, is a rewrite of Cinderella in the Sci-Fi world. However, I don't think so. I think that this story (and the rest of the books in the series) have borrowed a few major ideals from princesses like Cinderella and on the basis of those ideals the story has evolved into some beautifully written cyborg/sci-fi/dystopian/romance. It was a wonderful, gripping read!

I waited so long to start this series, and it definitely lives up to the hype so far.

A fascinating premise, but what held me back were how underdeveloped the characters were. The most difficult for me were the villains. They felt flat and almost like caricatures; there were no complexities or even clear explanation of why they are the way they are. It just pulled me out of the story
