Josie takes a job working in Ponder, Alaska for the summer as the lodge’s chef. While there she falls in love with a local, Palmer. Unfortunately, Josie has a job waiting for her with a renowned chef in Seattle. She has to decide weather or not to accept Palmer’s marriage proposal or continue with her dream of being a chef!

I finished Alaskan Holiday by Debbie Macomber last night. It was just the right amount of romance that I needed in between heavier reads.

I’d recommend this book to a reader like my mom. 🤗 She loves Hallmark Channel movies and doesn’t want the books she reads to be sad at all. Just a light, feel-good read.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an egalley in exchange for an honest review.

A sweet fast easy winter read.

This was a cute holiday book. I really enjoyed that the story took place in Alaska. It gave insight to what it’s like in the summer and winter. I enjoyed the characters too. Cute read!

A quick, easy, innocent (not spicy) Christmasy read. Didn’t love but didn’t hate it either. Definitely a quick read, but felt the plot dragged on a little at times. Palmer lived in a small town in Alaska called Ponder and that was really all he knew…he wasn’t a city person. Enter Josie who was a city girl from Seattle that decided to be the chef at the lodge in Ponder for a few months as she waited for a restaurant to be built that she was going to become the Sous Chef. It wasn’t in the plan for Palmer and Josie to fall in love, but they had some big decisions to make. Since one of them was going to be making a big life choice and moving away from everything they knew.

What on earth? I never would have finished this book if it wasn’t so short. It is such a hot mess. I’m so glad I bought this in an airport so I can take it back and get half of my money back.

Snooze fest. Is there a rating more PG than G? This is it.

Lumberjack gives worst proposal ever and then pretends to want the chef (I mean of course she’s a chef...because a woman’s place is in the kitchen

3.5/5. This was a really sweet story. Not my favorite of Debbie Macomber's- I usually enjoy the build up of relationships that she does, but this was a nice change and fun to explore Josie and Palmer's relationship and the decisions that they made.

I loved it, but I wish there was more romance and growth of Josie’s and Palmer’s friendship and how it turned into a relationship.
I liked how different the names for the characters were too.
The big surprise at the end of the epilogue was so cute omg.
