I enjoy each and every Debbie Macomber book I read :) I was able to download this from my library's digital download site, and it was like a nice, cozy blanket. I liked the characters, I liked the setting and story, and I knew exactly what I wanted to happen. Mrs Macomber never disappoints :)
I won an uncorrected advance copy of Alaskan Holiday in a Goodreads giveaway.
The story is basically a Hallmark movie plot in novel form. It was a fun little holiday fluff read, which I usually enjoy but this one didn't really do it for me. Mainly because the male main character had jealousy issues which kept me pretty much constantly annoyed with him. It was interesting to learn more about how people live in the Alaskan wilderness though.

Cute, quick read. You know from the first few pages how it will end up, but fun to see the twists and turns the story takes to get there.
I was not super impressed with this book. The main characters are written like children instead of adults, and they’re just not believable. The grown man in the book almost writes off his love because of a Facebook post! I just think the characters are written with an immaturity that’s depressing because the main idea of the book was pretty good and had potential.
I've never read anything by this author before, I didn't really know what I was getting into since I just borrowed the book from a friend.
It's a sweet story, I enjoyed the romanticization of Alaska and the different point of views.
But I think this author may just no be for me. I felt like everything was written down so literally, kind of over-explained and there was a lot of repetition.
Josie and Palmer were sweet, I loved Angie's small part but Jack was rather annoying. I did like reading the same thing from both Josie and Palmer's point of view though, that was rather well done.
All in all, it was OK for me.

Loved it! Jack was such a funny character and I loved how the 2 main characters grew together. Great story.
2.5. I don’t know if I’ve ever read a book where I didn’t like the main character the entire time.
3.5 stars
My favorite Debbie Macomber book so far. The characters were more developed and the love story felt less forced and more realistic in my opinion.
Also, I adore Jack - I found myself laughing out loud at his antics more than once.
I appreciated the friendship between Josie and Angie. I also appreciated that Palmer didn’t try to suffocate Josie’s dreams , and helped her find a way to achieve them.
I also liked the mention of Sawyer the pilot - he was in Starry Night and I like continuity.

If you like Hallmark Channel movies, you will probably really enjoy this book. I'm not a fan of either.
