It was great to see the world from an Arum point of view rather than the Luxen but this is where my enthusiasm ends. This book really belongs to the J.Lynn pen name as it is quite steamy. This is only my personal opinion as a parent of a teen but I am concerned that a younger audience may be exposed to this book because they are emotionally invested in the Luxen/Arum world(as I was). I know it is clear that it says Adult Romance but would that stop you if you were a teen hooked on a series and this was the latest snippet?I like the demarcation that allows us to know that J. Lynn books are steamy but Jennifer L. Armentrout books are not as graphic. I much prefer the Armentrout books because they stand out as being original for their stories. There are so many steamy books saturating the market that it is difficult for a book to stand out and to me, this book just didn't do that. It needed more story and less lust.

Ugh. Yes. <3 JLA, you are the master. Loooooooooved this. It brings a darker flavour to the Lux world and brings the darker reality to light. I kind of want another Arum novel. :) Hunter <3

This is one of the best new adult novels I have ever read. It has a great balance of romance and action. Actually, I found it better than the Lux series.
