I honestly don't know what took me this long to read this. I've known of these characters for YEARS ya'll.
Simply put: This is a fun, steamy, and action and semi-adventure packed companion novel to the Lux series. I recommend this if you wanna read the lux series but instead of YA you get a more adult perspective of MANY things in this universe.

Das Buch hatte für mich das Gesamtpaket, eine All In Geschichte für mich, die ich am liebsten nochmal lesen möchte!

Mich erinnerte die Story ein wenig an „Frigid“ von J.Lynn, und dieses Buch habe ich damals verschlungen und geliebt!
Das Setting bei „Dunkelglanz“ ist nicht aufregend aber genau das, hat es mir angetan.
Ein Haus, ein vom Verteidigungsministerium beauftragter Alien namens Hunter soll auf die menschliche Serena aufpassen. Serena wird von den Lux gesucht und diese möchten sie natürlich umbringen.

Von nun an beginnt der ganze Spaß. Hunter ist so „damn“ sexy dass er selbst mir als Leserin die Sprache genommen hat. Das ganze Haus prickelt und vibriert vor Anziehungskraft und man hüpft von einer erregenden Szene in die nächste.
Lange Weile?
Mit Hunter definitiv nicht.

Das Buch erfüllt Drama und Klischee und trifft mich mitten in mein Leserherz, das sich darin gesuhlt hat.
Es sprüht nur so von Szenen wo Finger abgelutscht werden bis hin zum Schlafwandel wo man darum bittet angegriffen zu werden.
Dieses Setting ist nicht aufregend aber das was daraus gemacht wurde ist für mich Erotik pur.

Man fängt mit diesem Buch an und befindet sich in einem Labyrinth aus Lust und Begehren. Einen Ausgang aus diesem Universum, das Jennifer L. Armentrout erschaffen hat, möchte man nicht finden.

Ein Mix aus Fantasy / Romantasy / New Adult, der in meinen Augen nicht zu toppen ist!
Hunter, der Arum macht Daemon dem Lux sehr große Konkurrenz und momentan hätte ich keine Entscheidung parat und würde schlussendlich beide nehmen!

Uhm...it was an ok book, I did like that we got to see the other side of the luxen/arum feud...buuuuut...I feel in the Lux books, the Arum are just bad, plain and simple, and so it was a bit hard to be like okay they can be good guys also..I just didn't want to buy it at first. There are all new characters introduced and I did get extremely excited towards the end of the book to see a cameo of Lux characters but I feel like this one was a bit slow to start and get me involved, and just ended a bit on the bleh side. I do have to say I like Hunters bad assness it feels believable and I like it being told thru both his and Serena's point of view. Overall it was a decent book, I don't know if I'll be into the series as much as I liked the Luxen. But I will continue to read, Jennifer Armentrout is one of my fave authors who I found quite by accident on Amazon, and bought up everything I could find by her. I am hoping the next book in the series is better for me.

A very self-indulgent read, well written, a decent plot for a romance novel. Interesting as a fan of the Luxen world to read more on the Arum.
Serena though is a bad case of a damsel in distress but then again I'm like "she's a human surrounded by superpowered aliens, no wonder she gets tossed around like a ragdoll." I just wished there was a moment when she didn't need to be saved and looked after 24/7.
That's my only true gripe about the story and characters. You kinda know what you are getting into when you pick the book up, some hot smex and hot aliens.

Once again Jennifer did an amazing job. Obsession was awesome. For me, it wasn’t as good as the Lux series but it was pretty damn good.
This book was HOT, it is not in the same category as Lux so it’s not for everyone… I loved it! You know, reading Lux, you have this idea that all the Arum are bad and that all the Luxen are good but reading this changes everything. I won’t see the Arum the same way now.
Let’s talk about the characters, Hunter and Serena. See Daemon? Well, imagine him ten times worse and you have Hunter. He’s a 31 year old (I think) Arum, working for the DOD. He’s a killer, not the nice kind. Serena is a human, nothing special. She’s 23 and works as a school counselor. After Mel’s murder by a Luxen, Serena is in danger. The DOD send Hunter to protect Serena and so it begins…
I loved this book, I am a huge fan of Jennifer L. Armentrout and of the Lux series so I was really excited about this one. It’s a complete different story, with new characters but the fact that it’s in the same world was great, we even see some characters from Lux like Luc, the gay bouncer from the club and… Daemon!!!! We’re just seeing him, he doesn’t talk or anything but it felt good, haha.
Hunter and Serena were a nice couple. At first, Hunter is a jerk with her, he hates human and he doesn’t want to protect one. But then, he just can’t resist Serena. She’s sweet but she also have a temper. The poor girl is terrified to discover that her world is full of aliens. She’s also mourning the loss of her best friend and she’s scared for her life. Throughout the book, Serena and Hunter are getting closer, it doesn’t come right away but when they’re finally together it is worth the wait, I am telling you! Obsession was Jennifer’s hottest book, for sure!
I loved seeing Hunter struggle with his feelings for her, all of this was foreign for him and he was awkward sometimes, so cute. I do not know if this is gonna be a series but I really hope so! I’d like to see more of them...

SERIOUSLY, HANDS DOWN THE BEST! I know it's a stand alone but I'd like to put it with the other Lux books and I enjoyed it the most! But damn, Jen, making me love Arum too, like Luxen weren't enough. I loved Hunter from the first moment, first sentence from him, he was so like me, it's scary. And loved their slow burn with Serena. And no love triagle, KUDOS FOR THAT. So yes, READ THIS BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE MISSING.
