There's not much to say... Buut!
To read about an Arum made the whole thing so interesting. While I always pictured them as ugly, dark creatures, in this book, they were all hot dudes - especially Hunter (duh?)
I figured that the Luxen and the Arum aren't so different as we sometimes might think!

I already kinda liked Hunter when he appeared in the Lux series, but reading his story made me get the Arum a bit better. And as it is in the real world, so it happens to be in this book: we can't generalize who's good and who's bad. There always good and bad guys.
That's why I think it's such a good book to read. Not only because it's a freaking hot book (I still can't get over all those scenes, so much better than anything what Mr. Grey might have done to Anastasia) but also because as a Lux fan we get to see the Arum world and we get how they work!

All in one, such a great book!

Jennifer L Armentrout? You really need to write more about Daemon, Katy, Hunter, Serena and co.

Sooo good!
Never were alien books so sexy and hot!

The writing was great and I loved the hero, but Alien-Love just isn't my thing.
I don't mind vampires & humans, shapeshifters & humans, even dragons & humans but ET & Humans...nope.

From the Lux series, Arum appeared to be these heartless, soulless, brainless creatures that can do nothing but destroy everything.
Boy, was I wrong...
I am glad that the author chose to show us life from an Arum's point of view. It shows us that actually, there really is no race that is fully good (you have good and bad people in every race) which makes it seem more realistic, and I love that.

I love, love, love Jennifer Armentrout's YA paranormal books, but I'm really not a fan of her adult books. This was a spin off of the Lux series, which I love, but it doesn't have the same spunk and the storyline was kind of weak.
I recommend the Lux series, but this one can be skipped

Oficially obsessed with Aliens

I really really liked this story! I didn't know this was about an Arum so it was a surprise but a good one.

I love Hunter! He's so funny and sexy! The fights between him and Serena are so full of sexual tension and are so funny! ahahah

Serena is awesome too! She has always an answer to give and it's pretty funny that's she was always throwing things at Hunter.

I think this book really helped understand the Arum and that not all of them are so bad. And that there are Luxen that real bitches. I learned about Arum history which was cool and how their "powers" work.

I have a feeling that the reason Serena's best friend was killed is the same reason why at the end in Origin
SpoilerDaemon, Dee and Dawson were taken by the Luxen
. I hope Hunter will show up in Opposition that would be so cool. And he would become an ally and Arum and Luxen would solve all their problems and they would be happily ever after

I did not know that he appeared in one of the books and he met Daemon!!! I so have to read the Lux series again.

It's been years since I've read the Lux series and time has made me forget the greatness of Jennifer L Armentrout's writing. This reading was very quick and entertaining and luckly for me it did an excellent job at reminding the reader of the whole Arum vs Luxen vs Humans dynamics. I loved getting to see the Arum's perspective in this eternal war between Luxen and Arum. This has definitely made me more excited to read more of Armentrout's works because it reminded me of her talent. That said, I feel like this is one of those stories that you devour because of their addictive nature but in the end nothing really sticks to you and will eventually be forgoten. What I mean by this is that though this was a very enjoyable tale, it didn't leave a mark on me like many other stories did, nor it will make a permanent impact on my life so.. yeah... it was just a quick fun read and that's all.

And we get Hunter's story with Serena and this one is not YA, so yes I loved it! Hunter being an Arum is assigned to protect Serena, and sparks fly, the chemistry between these two is scorching hot. I love arrogant heroes and Hunter is one I liked and wanted to know more about. Definitely worth reading but please read the Lux series first.

Super cool to get a different perspective in the world of the Lux series. It really shows how everything isn't just black and white. SPOILER I hope we get to see Daemons POV when he and Hunter meet at Lucs!
