YA PERO ¿HUNTER???¡¡¡¡ nada mas que que agregar mi gente

NOT A STAND-ALONE NOVEL!

Certainly a different take on the Lux series. Recommend reading this one between Opal (book 3) and Origin (book 4) of the Lux series.

We learn some new things in this book compared to the Lux series. There’s always 2 sides to every store (re: war) and here we hear about the war between the Arum and Luxen from the Arum’s side. We also get insight into an Arum’s POV on what’s going on and how they’re reacting to the D.O.D. and everything going on with the Luxen.

We also get ROMANCE in this book. Obsession is Adult Romance, rather than the YA of the Lux series, and I am so here for it!

I personally like Serena. She’s been through a lot but she listens to what Hunter says and doesn’t hate him right off the bat for being “different”. Hunter’s attracted to Serena but it’s literally going against his (and his kind’s) nature to want her and to be softer with her. He’s not only battling the Luxen who are after Serena, but also his nature and feelings, as well as the D.O.D.

Fairly quick read that gives another perspective and gives you the explicitness only implied in the Lux series.

LOVED LOVED LOVED IT ***The Saying Two Sides To every Story Has Never Been So True****

Words cannot describe just how great this book was i loved from the first page. In this book we get to the side from th Arum and i never thought id end up rooting for them. And OMG was Hunter HOTT and we get to see some of the charaters we know. If you have not read this book (and your an adult) I emplore you go buy this like 5mins ago

This is an excellent adult spin-off of the Lux series.

I was very intrigued about Hunter from the brief appearances he and Serena made in the other books and I gave this a shot. And it was definitely worth it.

Hunter is the ultimate hot badboy to drool for, I love him.
It was very interesting to witness his change in behaviour towards Serena (I love the fact that she's "his light" - that's so sweet) and his inner struggles.

Another thing I enjoyed was seeing the other side of the conflict - the Arum side. I guess that we've read so much about the Luxen that we have forgotten that there were casualties amongst the Arum too. And witnessing them not being cold and heartless and actually feeling things and being kind and good even, that was great!

And Serena. She's such a strong-willed person and takes no shit from Hunter. I love that about her and the fact that she remained human and it makes her no less than any other character, actually the opposite of that.

Oh and the smutty bits. So hot. I definitely enjoy JLA's more adult writing style.

Pick this up!

Epic. I am dreading Origins. And i want another book with Hunter and Serena. I love Jennifer. She is brilliant. Loved the story line- everything in this.

I read Obsession for two reasons. First, it was by JLA. Second, it was based in the Luxen world. And we all know how I have enjoyed the Luxen series. Suffice to say I love the series. These books were introduced in our lives back in 2012 so you can see how thirsty we were for some Luxen world. And this book, Obsession, was a good susbtitute. It was set in the Luxen world as I already said but was told from an Arum's perspective along with our human female protagonist.

This book brought the Arum's into a whole new light. It will make readers wonder who the good guys are. This book was so enjoyable yet so frustrating. Our protagonist, Serena- well, I would love to have a friend like her. I loved how she was in the whole situation. It was so realistic. Her life was turned upside down when she saw her bestfriend get murdered right infront of her eyes by something not human. Add to that she is now being baby-sitted by some hot species of alien origin. She can't help but be attracted to him but she must get to the end of all the mystery that surrounds her baby-sitter and also get to the bottom of why the bad guys are after her. Hunter can’t believe he has to babysit some human who is hot and bothersome. But he has a job and he must protect her even if it is making him question all his beliefs. He will do anything to protect her.

After reading this book one can only wonder that maybe the Arum's and Luxen are actually being played and really the bad guys are someone else and these two have been fighting somebody else's fight. Both sides lost people due to their actions which is a sad thing as a lot of Arum history was revealed in this book. In the Luxen series we saw how Arums had killed- in this book, Luxens were doing the same thing. Its just like how every story has two sides and/or how a coin has two sides. Heheeheh.

The only I can say for this book is that it was awesome. It was such an enjoyable read. I was literally flipping pages to know more of the story. I was just, ah! I fell in love with the characters in this book. I am kinda worried about book 4 of Luxen series Origin which comes out August 27.

Will I recommend this book? Yep.

Teaser:
'Maybe not, but I was beyond caring. There was a dead something on the floor and a whatever standing in front of me.'

It's been a while since I read the Lux series, but man, this was a trip! I devoured this book so fast, but it wasn't fast enough. Was seriously IN LOVE with going back to this world. I didn't even know this book existed! The second I realized it was a thing, I was all:

Honestly, I'm impressed Jennifer Amentrout made me love Arum...at least Hunter. Like, I remember reading the Lux series and having some serious issues with these mo'fo's. But after Obsession and Hunter I'm like:

AND is it not genius that Hunter was the Arum in Origin!? AND Daemon makes an appearance in Obsessed too!

So here's the premise for this book:

Basically, it's like Obsidian...

Dude, the second Serena woke up in Hunter's house, I KNEW, I was like OOH GIRL...

HAHAHAHAHA

Honestly, wouldn't hate it if Armentrout made this a spin-off series, like she did with Titian...WOULDN'T HATE IT AT ALL.

I’ve been on a serious JLA kick and since I read the Origin spin-off of the Lux series I splurged and got this book too!

This has a lot of the typical JLA elements to it. Bad boy Hunter was definitely hot in this book. It was nice getting to see him develop and embrace his humanity because of Serena.

Reading this after all of the other in the Lux world was kind of unusual as it takes place chronologically before the Origin series. It probably would have been a better experience to have read this book within the Lux series for better flow of the overall timeline.

I enjoyed the spice quite a bit and definitely love Hunter and Serena together. I’m all for a strong badass main female character who takes care of business but I also enjoy when the guy has “touch her and I’ll kill you” vibes which is exactly what Hunter is like.

I love the way JLA writes because I can always jump right in and enjoy the hell out of the book. If you like the LUX and Origin series and haven given this adult spin-off a try I’d definitely recommend!
