This has been such a fun series so far but what clinched Pyramids as my first five-star read among them was the camel, You Bastard, aka the World’s Greatest Mathematician, who inspired in me more than one fit of the giggles. What a character! What flair! What mad mathematical skills! I love every mention of him. And the rest of the story was pretty darn good too.

While I enjoyed this book a lot, I didn't quite fall quite as much in love with it as I did the previous Discworld novels. It's still very funny, and I absolutely loved You Bastard the camel, but I just didn't connect with this one as much. I had a lot going on personally this week so I was pretty distracted, so that's probably why, but even still, a four-star review for a book I didn't fully love should speak volumes about how great it still is.

Quite liked Teppic and Ptraci.
