I enjoyed this one much more than the first, I just take issue with one trope that’s too much of a spoiler to put in the review, as well as I wish there was more lead up to the ending. I thought it was a good ending that will lead to a whole new plot line in the next book, and I understand people’s reactions but I also think it’s going to make for an interesting book 3.

HOLY MOLY! So many emotions with this book.

Iron Flame is the second installment in The Empyrean series, following Violet and Xaden as they navigate war, love, and power. I enjoyed seeing more of Violet's squad mates and their growing bonds and faith in one another. I LOVED Tarin and Andarna, as usual, and some answers about the story.

What I loved:
1. Tairn and Andarna's snarkiness
