I only gave 2 stars bc of ‘dad chat’ and previous characters in this universe making appearances, otherwise it would be 1 star. I read all of Elle Kennedy’s books—she’s one of my auto-buy authors because I love her!! This is the third book in the third interconnected series in the Briar universe. I have loved 8 books in this world, liked 3, and now HATED 1. This book was awful and I’ve never been so disappointed in a new release. Worst book she’s written by far. I desperately wish I didn’t buy it, but I wanted to complete the set because I have a WHOLE SHELF that belongs to Elle Kennedy alone. I never rant this long about how much I hate a book, so this is really saying something.
