I was quite excited to read Little Bee after the very convincing reviews from the cover. However, I became disappointed as the book had pieces of wonderfully written passages that were too few and far between. Most disappointing including the lack of depth within the male characters, and my inability to feel anything for the characters outside of Bee and Sarah. This is not one that will be picked up after my quick read.

This book hurt to read. Atrocities of war, rape, death, living our lives fully, marriage, immigration, and parenting are just a few of the many deep topics touched on in this novel that creeps up on the reader. The ending is tragic, yet expected, which makes it all the more sad.
Decent book. The first half was excellent, but I started losing interest during the second half, which was mostly due to Sarah. I really didn't like her character at all and wish the book was entirely in Little Bee's point of view. Little Bee was one of the better written characters I have read in quite a while and it was always disappointing to begin a Sarah chapter.

3.75 or 4/5.
Really enjoyed the narrative of dual perspective, back and forth storytelling plus the audiobook was great.
To me, the ending was a little rushed or at least not as embellish and with depth as the rest of the story. An overall very good book and with great subtopic presentation.
Note: Definitely did not notice that it was a man providing a voice to two female characters.
