Well written story about a difficult subject. Intricate building of relationships between people who are physically, emotionally, and mentally broken due to trauma. I liked how realistic the series of events was and that the ending wasn't happy, but a more true ending to a story such as this.
This book is really a 3.5+...heading towards a 4.
I did find this book impossible to put down and I love the way the author laid the story out. The distinct voices of the characters, the way he managed a few humorous lines in all the tragedy, I just felt very defeated in the end. I am very happy he didn't tie it up with a read ribbon though.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this book yet. Some parts were very touching, some parts were horrifying, and some just beautiful. At first, I didn't like the writer's timeline, or lack of one, and it seemed to jump around quite a bit. But really, I think he was just teasing out the story and trying to keep you interested. Although, don't play up the beach scene so much if you're not going to give it to the reader until half way through the book...
Every now and then I read a book that completely opens my eyes to a subject that previously I'd given little thought to. Little Bee is such a book. It delves into the issues surrounding illegal refugee immigration into the UK by telling the story of a young Nigerian girl. It is beautifully written, funny and heart-rending all at once. A memorable way to start of the new decade!
I read it because it was recommended by a reviewer on NPR.

This is one of the best and most original books I've read in a long time. I both liked and disliked the characters at different points of the story and still thinking about the ending. Great book!!
Two women's lives are connected. Even the book jacket doesn't tell you any more than that, so I'll leave it at that. This book definitely stays with you even after you are finished.
3.5 stars. I enjoyed this book, but i did think the summary on the back made it seem better than it was. fast read.
This book really intrigued me because of the description on the back. This was a heartbreaking story of Little Bee and Sarah. I don’t want to share what this story is about but it will rip your heart into pieces.
This book was chosen for my book club. I had absolutely no idea what the book was about before starting, so I was a little surprised by the content. I thought it was beautifully written, but heartbreaking.
