Thoughts: It was a good read, I enjoyed learning about these characters, but I wanted more action, more scenes for both of them.

Let this be a warning this book is graphic. There are details of what Gavin went through at the hands of Slate and the Dead Demons. He survived more than nine years of horror. This is his story of survival. This is the story of the death of Gavin. This is a story of revenge and he isn't done.

His struggles are real. Nine years of whatever concoctions Butcher was injecting him has left him a shell of his former life. Will he come back to the Last Riders? Will he be able to get clean? What does his future hold.

When he crossed paths with Ginny 13 years ago there was something, but what???? She has struggled to survive. She lives in fear of Atherton finding her, ending her. She has stayed under the radar until a night of Karaoke on girls night. Has She been discovered? Does she have a stalker?

Coming into the light might be the only way to survive. If she had her soul mate, the man she felt die many years ago she would be fine. And then her eyes meet Gavin's across a pool.

I am not happy that I have to wait for more. I am thrilled with the anticipation that I have to wait. Yes, I will admit it Gavin's Song has me all over the place emotionally. I can only hope that book two does the same.

Audiobook - such an emotional story, but I really hope they can both come together happily.

this was really good in a depressing way. literally so heartbreaking, but by the end i was just skimming through trying to get to the good part. like it is the slowest of slow burns and i know the whole point is that it’s in the next book and this is just the backstory but damnnnnnn.

anyways we lovvveee an emotionally unavailable/tortured man so i can’t wait for book 2

Amazing!!

An absolute amazing continuation of the series. This book was a highly anticipated read and it definitely lived up to expectations. Jamie Begley is an amazing author who has managed to interlink all the stories from little scenes that happen throughout. I cannot wait for more of her work and to continue on with Ginny’s and Reaper’s story. Highly recommend to everyone and you must start from the beginning to completely understand the wonders of her writing

I'm glad I didn't start reading this trilogy without the final installment. It was really nice to know Gavin and Ginny's life before they met. I was able to learn more about them even if there's no romance yet, it was a great book. Maybe I only have some problem with the time skip, there are moments that it happened that made me confused like there's some missing pieces. It was not a fast-paced story since it really delved on their life before they reaaaallly met... Even though this first installment doesn't revolved yet on the part where their path crossed, you will still enjoy it; but heads up for some trigger warnings: there are some torture and rape scenes that you might want to skip.

DNF.....I just don't enjoy reading about so much abuse and unhappiness. I was bored reading all the description without any resolutions.
