This book starts of pretty dark and I will admit that it was a bit of an though read at times. But slow it turns lighter but not brightly so, but lighter and we get characters that evolve and work hard through the though times and in the end we get that HEA.
I love that it was a push and pull situation, that it didn't solve it self instantly but showcased that trauma takes work and it looks different for everybody.
Jathan and Thierry made my heart break but also it mad me so happy to see their process of healing. Ford "meeting" just made sense and to see his journey was beautiful.

Trigger Warnings for VERY BAD abuse (both physical and sexual) and PTSD along with Age play ( i think thats the correct term)
I appreciate the topic of law and BDSM and what is classes as consensual in the eyes of the law but the book wasn't personally for me. As i am new to the erotic genre, i'm finding my footing about things I like and thing's that i don't like and this held too many things that I didn't like.

I went into this one without reading too much about it and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! I was hesitant about the age play since I don’t generally like It but I enjoyed it in this book.
The beginning was definitely heavy and dark, the boys being so traumatised by what happened to them, but seeing them slowly open up and trust Master Ford was just precious. I loved the character developments and the slow build of trust and attraction between the men. Master Ford is such a gentle and caring Dom and the way he approached and adapted around the boys was amazing to read.
There’s a lot happening in the story and sometimes it felt like a bit too much. I think it would have been better to scale back on some things that wasn’t explored or explained further in the book.
Overall a really beautiful and emotional story, the perfect mix of angst and healing / happiness. Definitely one of the best hurt / comfort books I’ve read!

I hated their names. Especially with the audiobook, when he says thiery sometimes it sounds like daddy and every time it happened it annoyed the hell out of me. I hate when author pick character’s names that don’t fit in the world they’ve created. It’s not like this is a fantasy novel. I feel like you should be allowed one weird name per book!
I just finished another book by the author and she had a weird name that distracted me then too!!
The story itself was good. I liked watching the boys open up to Ford eventually. I really enjoyed Jathan and Ford’s interactions. I’m not into age play which is why I skipped book 2 in the series, so I continued reading for Jathan. God I wish she just named him Jason

I don't know why I didn't read this book before. Ford, Thierry and Jathan were such beautiful characters. Despite his brattiness-or maybe because of it-Jathan was my favourite.
I absolutely adored this book and I wish I hadn't taken so long to get to it. But better late than never, right?

My heat broke for these boys and so happy they found someone to understand what they truly needed to feel safe after being treated so wrongly
