This was a pretty good personal finance book. Some things I liked were that when reviewing budget categories to cut the author suggests looking at things that provide safety or security (like rent or heat or groceries) as most important and other things as less so. She talks about going through your budget and thinking about how bare-bones you can go and calling this your "noodle budget," that is, your ramen-noodle-eating level. She has good basic information about creating a budget and emergency fund, looking for ways to add more income like with a side gig or starting a business, and talks about getting out of debt, investing, insurance, credit scores, and estate planning. She also does a good job of explaining how to automate accounts. The author, a former teacher, has a podcast and has done financial coaching. She admits to being conned out of most of her savings years ago and discusses how to avoid this type of thing and start over from financial setbacks without guilt. This is a good, up-to-date guide.

At this stage in my life, “Get Good with Money” was a must read. I felt like I was taking a new course in financial awareness and made it a point to take diligent notes while reading the book. I appreciate the way in which The Budgetnista broke down the steps to achieve financial wholeness. The book was very detailed. Additionally, the free tool kit made the different action steps more attainable. If you want to learn the elements of financial wholeness you should definitely read this book.

As a bit of a personal finance nerd I love a simple get you started finance book. I saw Tiffany on a documentary and had remembered hearing about her on a finance podcast. I love her approach and vernacular around a topic that can feel intimidating and overwhelming. Definitely recommend for someone looking to get some good tips and are veering away from toxic d*ve r*msey

Definitely one I’ll add to my physical book collection. I’d recommend having a physical copy versus listening on audiobook due to the amount of information
