A really good starting way to approach how to handle and think about your money. Definitely reassured that what I’m currently doing with my money is good, and I 100% recommend everyone to read this. She gives insight and advise on what you should be looking for with your insurance/investments/401K etc, and I will be referring back to this book as reference going forward.

Book Type:
-Physical book
Would I recommend?:
-Absolutely! I recommend this book for folks new to finances or who need a stepping stone journey of recommendations
Things I liked:
-SO MANY THINGS!
-This book helped normalize my feelings of guilt and shame toward my finances, helped me feel empowered, and helped me come up with a game plan for the future.
-I can’t stop thinking and talking about the book’s recommendations to my friends
-The book’s lessons felt applicable beyond finances! It also helped me feel less overwhelmed about my future and reminded me to live more by my values and less by my whims.
-I will likely be reading and rereading this book year by year as I continue on my path to financial wholeness.
Things I disliked:
-It took me a little bit of time to adapt to the author’s style, but as soon as I started feeling stressed about finances (Chapter 1? 2?), her style was perfect, soothing, and exactly what I needed.
-I struggled to understand and figure out how to implement the recommendation to search for a side job (Chapter 6, I think?). I am not sure if this is just where I am at right now (working long hours and feeling burnt out) or if I would recommend changes to the chapter?

I thought it was very very thorough and sometimes a bit too overwhelming if you're just starting out. Otherwise it was awesome because it touches on everything, insurance, estate planning, living will etc.

As someone who hasn't really set up any true budgeting and just kind of has a rough idea of their money but always got lucky - this book was a great intro to the finer points of managing money.

I really enjoy the way it is set up into percentages of becoming financially whole. Tiffany finds a way to make money seem approachable even when you're in a tough spot. Since she has been on both sides of the money spectrum, deciding which bills won't be paid to flourishing in business, she has a great grasp on what needs to be prioritized and at what time. Plus, she brings in other money experts to talk on subjects that are experts in their field, such as an estate lawyer for the estate planning section.

I would highly recommend this for anyone else who needs to increase their knowledge on money handling and wants to start building up their assets.

I wish I'd read this when I was 20 years old.

Good financial book that can be paired with its workbook. There's reading it and then there's actually doing the work, so it takes time to digest.

An excellent book not just on finance, but other "grown up" things you need to take care of. Great narrator, this is one of the few finance books I've read that I'd consider buying a physical copy.

Really enjoyed this book a lot. I follow her on social media so knew I liked her tone and how she approaches talking about finances. I also appreciated the way the book levels up each chapter. As someone who's read a lot of personal finance books at this point, I liked the progression and also the detailed to-dos in the book. You can really treat it like a workbook and slowly work your way through her exercises. Also, bonus for not getting to net worth until almost the end. I've always felt starting there wasn't helpful for newbies and glad to see someone agrees!
