This book was incredible! Tiffany is candid about her own struggles in her financial journey which helps to make it relatable. She lays out each step of the journey to financial wholeness in finance terms but also layman term that can be easily understood. No matter where you are on your finance journey this book will definitely give you tools and resources to be successful. It was awesome to also see a Black woman in this field excelling, it’s not a space where you see black faces often.

I would say this book is slow paced because it benefits from multiple reads. It’s a book you should keep and work chapter by chapter (as needed). Getting Good With Money takes time, but is worth the journey.

Utterly amazing, for the first time in my life I feel like I have a good grasp on finances and how they work. Using this book I was able to write out a 5 year plan that would give me almost 20k in savings and erase my debt entirely. I'm shocked!!!! I want everyone to read it!

It took me over a month to read this book, but for good reason. This book is the most accessible, wholistic, and down-to-earth introductory guide to many personal financial matters; from paying down debt to planning for life after death and when you become incapacitated. I appreciate this book especially since it maintains a balanced perspective of ALL the personal financial decisions you may have to make in your lifetime; rather than solely covering financial planning for growing your money or becoming an entrepreneurship. While it is a lot of information to unpack in this book, I'm definitely glad I stuck through and got introduced to all different aspects of "Getting Good with Money"!

Had to go back to the library so I skimmed a couple chapters and decided it wasn't for me.

That being said, I would recommend it;

A solid primer in setting up your financial life for people of all ages who are trying to get their shit together. Tiffany does not assume that you know anything about money, and uses great analogies and examples to teach financial fundamentals
