I enjoyed the first in the series and this one lived up, probably have enjoyed if there was a bit more hint as to a continuation of book one but I get it's a novella and probably not likely.

Can be read as a standalone and though I don't know football at bloody all I still enjoyed it.

Easy writing style, not overly crass or cringe worthy. A whole lot of heart in a little book.

The Good, The Bad and Everything In Between

-It’s a novella, so it’s a quick and easy read. The pacing was fine for a novella and I felt that I knew enough about Jase and Avery for this romance.

-Hot love scenes.

-Standalone HFN: I wasn’t aware that there was a series of these books (featuring Jase’s brothers) and it didn’t affect my enjoyment of this story. I could believe that they were happy for now, with the possibility of more.

-Nice enough, but nothing that makes it stand out: Jase and Avery were nice but a bit generic. She’s a typical insecure heroine, which can be frustrating, and he’s completely taken with her from the moment he sees her, which can be a bit eye-roll inducing. They have great physical chemistry but there’s not alot of time to really develop an emotional relationship.

The Bottom Line
It’s an uncomplicated, enjoyable short story that I’d recommend for those in need of a quick sports romance fix.

2.5 stars!

I can't resist a good sports themed stories. Unfortunately, this one was very generic. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The one positive about it is the fact that it's short so it felt like I didn't waste that much time on it.
