This is a Quick Read adventure, but it packs in a very clever and entertaining story in just 110 pages! The Angels are of course brilliantly scary monsters and the author uses them to good effect. The idea of a magician using an Angel to create an ultimate disappearing act was a great one, and the danger that is always at hand when an Angel is loose made for some very tense moments in this story. The time travel aspect was also well done when the reader realizes what has happened to the assistants who have disappeared.

The author also captured the banter and camarderie of the Doctor, Amy and Rory very well and it was nice to see that Rory had an important role in the story, that he was very suited for because he's a nurse. I think the author made all the quirks of the characters work very well in the narrative and it made this a believable adventure for the trio.

It's too bad this is such a short read, but it does have some great moments - like the Doctor donning the Third Doctor's outfit! - and I would recommend this one to every Doctor Who fan!

While it had a nice story, and fitted well with the whoniverse, the characterisation was really poor. I didn't feel like it was the doctor or Amy, and even Rory wasn't that good. Nice to read quickly in one sitting though. Just let down by the fact it was a quick read, so the author maybe skipped over important characterisation for plot. Looking forward to reading another one of these quick reads to see if they suffer from the same problem though!

This was surprisingly good, particularly since it was just a quick read. I'm instantly amused by the fact that the Weeping Angels are more compelling villains in this tiny novel than they were in either of their episodes (excepting Blink, of course). The plot is actually interesting, as opposed to most of the quick reads where it's more just pandering to our love of the Doctor and the fact that the gaps between seasons is so very long. I really enjoyed this book and I wasn't expecting to.

BOOK 16(OUT OF 21) OF MY HOLIDAY READS - AUGUST 2022

Another nice addition in the Quick Reads series - 3.5*

A lot can be achieved in such a short amount of pages. When watching the TV show, I always loved the partnership between the 11th Doctor, Amy and Rory. The author has translated this onto page well.

I liked this short story on the Weeping Angels. I can't rate this short story higher as I preferred [b:Doctor Who: Touched By An Angel|9969857|Doctor Who Touched By An Angel|Jonathan Morris|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1660273035l/9969857._SY75_.jpg|14864039].

Autorka ich vystihla úplne skvelo a ja som si Matta a Pondovcov krásne pripomenula :3

I read this book in about 2 hours, while trying to figure out what to read next. It was SO enjoyable and it felt like a gift of a new episode with my favorite Doctor and Amy & Rory.

My first 11th Doctor book! I liked the idea, the execution was alright, but the writing is quite bad, though I expected this from Jacqueline Rayner after "The Stone Rose" which I also gave 3 stars. If you want a good Doctor Who book, I'd recommend [b:Doctor Who: The Clockwise Man|678074|Doctor Who The Clockwise Man|Justin Richards|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1387738925l/678074._SY75_.jpg|664069]
