Drive Me Wild was my first Melanie Harlow read and I'm so glad I was able to read it. It's novel brimming with witty banter, fun, sweet and heartfelt moments and sizzling hot chemistry. It's an opposites attract romance where the hero and heroine complemented each other perfectly. I can't wait to pick up more books from this author!
3 stars. I was looking for a quick read, small town romance and this book was that, but it was only an ok read for me. Blair is an only child from a rich family who wants to start her own life when her tire blows in a small town. Griffin is a mechanic in town and sees her swerve off the road and when he comes to help he finds a beautiful girl in a huge, white debutante dress with a tiara. He tows the car to his shop and since the car is an antique it will take a while to get the parts to fix it. Blair can't afford to stay at any of the inns in town so she tries to sleep in her car when Griffin finds her and offers to let her sleep on his couch in his upstairs apartment. There is an immediate attraction and they get together after only knowing each other for 36 hours. Griffin doesn't want any relationship or attachment because of his heartache from a past relationship so even though it's clear he is falling for Blair he pushes her away. I just didn't feel any attachment to these characters. They got together way too quickly and they have the same conversations over and over.
(4.5) I LOVED the female protagonist. I loved the small town romance and how well we know the town. I’m super excited to read the next book! It was a bit instalovey and a little cringey and immature at times, I found the main male protagonist a little immature considering he’s 32 but overall I really enjoyed this book! These things were easy to look over.
3 ⭐️ This book was sweet, but it's definitely not a favourite
I kept seeing quotes about this book on tiktok, and I decided to give it a chance. And like many tiktok books, it disappointed me. It was an alright book, don't get me wrong, but the romance was nothing new and there where many instances where the dialogue and the writing really took me out of the scenes - and the reading experience in general.
There are also a lot of sexist/gender stereotypes, and that might not bother some people, but it's a big no for me.
This book was just ok. It was an easy and fast read.

nothing special really. too insta love for me, like way too much! also because of it, i didn't feel attached to the mcs, they just didn't give me anything really. chemistry between them?? where?!!
blair......gave me whiplash and not in a good way.
and griffin.....he was just there, he didn't even properly grovel.....hard no.
i still liked the small town vibes and the group of friends. it had some funny moments and the spice was great.
think i'm going to like book two more.

Why was this so fricken cute?!? Parts of this book made me cackle out loud. The whole grumpy sunshine trope just does it for me. I enjoyed this book as a short and light read.
It went kind of meh towards the end though but it was sweet. Domesticated AF and kind of annoying at times (he should’ve grovelled harder for being a little shit

Griffin and Blair
Oh so sweet!
Blair is tired of living her life the way her parents expect her to live. So she packs up whatever she has, leaves the money and the lifestyle, and drives away. Driving through a small town, she notices a sign about apple pie and who doesn’t want apple pie? Upon arrival though, she has car trouble and these mighty fine hunky men come out to help her. One in particular.
Griffin was meeting up with his friends when they heard some ruckus outside. Him being a mechanic he rushes out to find a beautiful woman, dressed up, and oh…she is fainting. Griffin grabs her before she goes down and excellent meet cute, right?
Fast forward..yes she has car trouble so of course Griffin is going to help her. But then, come to find out, she is alone, and has no where to go, or no money so Griffin feels obligated to help her so she ends up staying with him. Every day they spend together, their attraction and chemistry grow and grow.
Such a sweet story. I loved how Blair fit it, not only in town but around the shop. She fit like a puzzle piece. Finally someone saw Griffin for the good he was and could be and she wanted to capitalize on that by helping him. They both needed each other in different ways and I really enjoined this.

This book kicks off a new series and boy does it start off with a bang. I've already fallen in love with this small town and eagerly await until we can return. I loved Blair and Griffin. Their banter is one of my favorite parts of the book. They had me so invested in their journey. This book has so much heart and feels. Be prepared to read for hours with this one because once you start you are not going to want to put it down. I truly loved everyone in this town. It's quite the cast of characters. One thing that I loved about Griffin is he loves baseball. That stands out to me because I'm a baseball nut. Plus his foster a kitten, be still my heart. I also loved Griffin because he has a hard exterior, but he has a gooey center when it comes to Blair. Blair has guts to start over from scratch, but she has the determination and kindness to achieve her goal. I loved how the town opened their arms to her. This is a must read!
