Blair is on her way to start her new life with her own rules when she ends up blowing out a tire creating a detour that lands her in Bellamy Creek waiting for her car to get fixed. Lucky for her a local mechanic, Griffin, sees the accident with his friends and takes her care of her car. Something about Blair brings out the protective streak in Griffin and with her being stranded he decides to let her stay at his place. For one night only. Except Blair isn't who Griffin originally pegged her as. She's smart, has big plans for her future, and is generally a happy person. Griffin is stubborn, set in his ways and sometimes grumpy. The two bring out the best in each other and sparks fly the more time they spend together. Will Blair stay in Bellamy Creek or will she continue on her adventure of Life? Will Griffin finally let a woman into his heart?
This was a great small town romantic comedy. The main characters are flawed and don't try to hide them, they know what they want. The side characters come to life as you read between Griffin and Blair's point of view and want to know their stories too. This is not the first book I've read by Melanie and won't be my last. If you are looking for a fun. light read that will make you laugh and swoon then pick this book up!!

Blair is a rich young woman running from her current life to start a new and literally crashes into town - and into Griffin’s controlled world. With a protective streak he tries to keep hidden under his gruff exterior, Griffin realizes this crazy, chatty, former rich girl who’s now broke, could break down his walls if he lets her in. There are a lot of interesting secondary characters I bet we will hear more about in future Bellamy Creek stories.....it’s a great town, and great reading.

I loved Blair & Griffin! They balanced each other perfectly. I loved how supportive Griff was and how genuine Blair was. And I love the Cloverleigh Farm cameos.
The recipes at the end were a fun bonus!

Não pensei gostar tanto deste livro. É tão bom e tão leve, com uma pitada de humor pelo meio. A escrita super fluída e uma história que nos agarra do início ao fim. Gostei muito das duas personagens e achei tão fácil gostar de ambos, com personalidades vincadas e os personagens secundários deixaram-me curiosa, mal posso esperar para conhecer mais deles nos próximos livros.
Por um lado temos Blair, uma mulher independente, determinada e fiel a si mesma, todos gostam dela (honestamente é impossível não gostar). Do outro lado temos Griffin, mecânico e um homem solitário e muito independente e que com ele carrega uma dor no coração. Os dois conhecem-se de forma aparatosa, mas Griffin não conseguiu ficar indiferente à mulher que acabou de aparecer na sua vida e a muito custo, vai baixando a guarda. A química entre os dois é grande e sendo um romance erótico, considerei haver um equilíbrio entre as cenas mais picantes e o romance em si.
Este livro também está cheio de receitas. Receitas essas feitas pela nossa Blair que nos deixam com água na boca durante toda a leitura e nos dão vontade de comer tudo o que temos na despensa!

How the heck can a cover this vile have a book that good inside. Main girl was actually so funny, the grumpy-sunshine worked really well. It reminded me so much of a spin off of It Happened One Summer which is quite possibly one of my favorite books ever. The vibes were vibing.

I can see the similarities, but the spice felt awks sometimes and the conflict just made me mad. Not for me!
