It’s so teary in here, are y’all teary? Whew, this was an emotional rollercoaster but one I’m so glad I stayed on. I also need to accept how realistic miscommunication tropes are because I’ve definitely been knowingly guilty of it in my own life. Time to stop complaining about them lol.

Come Fly With Me is a second chance romance between two childhood best friends who broke up and didn't speak for nine years before a fake dating ruse brings them back together.
This was a fairly quick read that moved at a fast pace. If you are looking for any kind of slow burn, this is not the book for you, but there is a heavy dash of angst and miscommunication.
While I generally enjoyed the book, I felt like the relationship between Wesley and Cooper was not as fleshed out as it could have been for me to truly appreciate all the things that they go through together. They get back together after nine years of not speaking to each other after breaking up at the end of high school. Somehow they manage to maintain a mutual friend in Riley (another character that could have used some more page time), but she waits almost a decade before trying to help them reconcile even while knowing that they are both miserable without each other.
The break-up in the last quarter of the book was immensely frustrating. The way Cooper immediately jumped to everything is my fault so I don't deserve Wesley and Wesley's reaction of obviously I am unlovable because Cooper is unable to communicate like an adult with his partner was disappointing. The time jumps that happen in the last few pages of the book left me feeling unsatisfied because in doing the final two year jump into the future and their happily ever after we, the readers, didn't get to experience the work the two of them put into making their relationship work and be successful. We skipped the potential hard conversations and them explicitly picking each other when it gets hard to the "and everything worked out perfectly" happy ending. I felt like we didn't really earn that ending.
I feel like the story had so much potential, but in rushing the ending, it left me wanting more.

Wesley and Cooper met when they were kids, fell in love in high-school and broke up when they were 19.
Now, after 9 years, they get back together for a fake date and both have to deal with the fact, that they are still in love with each other. The only thing is they don't know how the handle those situation. With the support of their families and friends they finally find their HEA.

The book describes the young years of love, the hurt caused by the break up, the feelings of loosing someone, the struggle with yourself to value yourself and the hard way to find trust in each other again.
The book is a roller coaster with flashbacks to their younger years when they where kids, to their years as a couple and to the moments when they break up.

I laughed and cried with Wesley and Cooper along their story about second chances, self love, trust, the need to communicate and the possibilities that open up when you accept help from others when you need it.

It's a well written and edited MM romance with also a lot of funny and steamy moments. I really enjoyed the parts where Wesley had some serious discussions with his lower body parts due to the reactions caused by Cooper.

I will definitely follow [a:Felicity Snow|23396513|Felicity Snow|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1684024381p2/23396513.jpg] for other books.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Wesley and Cooper were once childhood best friends and high school sweethearts. Until they weren’t.
For 9 years Coop has missed Wes, missed what they had and missed the future they could have had.
For 9 years Wes has hated Coop, hated what they had and hated the future he’d thought they could’ve had.

Instead, Wes is still single and his mother is trying to set him up with guys. Sometimes she invites these guys over to the house for dinner and they have older sons, leaving poor Wes unsure which of the 2 guys he’s supposed to be having dinner with. Ironically his mother is sometimes just as confused as Wes is, though her intentions are always good. The family just wants Wes to be happy, loved and like he used to be when he & Coop were supposedly soulmates.

Coop isn’t expecting to be asked to fake date his ex, but he can’t deny that he needs the money to help pay for his mom’s treatments and day-to-day living expenses. So, Coop pretends to be pretending to be in love with Wes, in order to convince Wes’ family that Wes doesn’t need to be set up on yet another blind date because he’s found himself a new old boyfriend. Coop also isn’t expecting for Wes to hate him as much as he does, but he also doesn’t blame him. As far as Wes knows, Coop ended things because he didn’t love him anymore.

When Coop & his mom are invited to the beach to stay with Wes’ family, they agree and Coop & Wes are forced to share a room, a bed and a life. Old feelings start to creep back in and Wes finally starts listening to the things Coop is telling him. The fake rekindled romance becomes real once more, but when real life tragically muscles into their lives upon their return home, can Coop’s fragile heart handle everything crashing down & open up to Wes or will he break Wesley’s heart once more?

I received a complimentary copy of this book and, as always, my review is honest and unpaid.

“I just want you. All I’ve ever wanted is you. I need you to know that.”

And that is how you do a miscommunication book!
Oh did this one hurt in the best of ways.

This was hands down the best one yet.
Friends to lovers to enemies to lovers again then possibly enemies again...maybe.
I loved every minute of this book so much that I could not put it down and didn't want to leave Wes & Cooper.
Wes & Coopers story evolved so much that by the middle of the book I was in agreement with Riley on how they were behaving towards each other and just wanted to smoosh them together and say "Talk!" but when I say it they talk and it explodes, it explodes.
Wes & Coopers POVs gives way to how much hurt and happiness comes from them when the other is near. I would have to agree with their moms about them together. Both guys have something they hold back from each other in order to protect themselves but ultimately it is what drives the wedge.

While this book had its happy moments there was the difficult part for me from Cooper, I just wanted to wrap him in a big hug and tell him yes you are. What he goes through and he thinks was the hardest part of his POVs but it made me love this book and Cooper more.

There is miscommunication, spice, best friend banter, embarrassing parent humor and of course feelings. I would definitely rec this book. Besides we all love a man in uniform right ;)

I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I appreciated being warned plenty of times about the miscommunication trope because that one can drive me crazy sometimes! I would almost consider this more of an under-communication then miscommunication but I thought it all resolved nicely if not a little quickly.

I LOVED Cooper and was so proud of how things were handled at the end of the book with his redemption.

This was fun and quick, and surprisingly very spicy, but it was also a little dramatic. But also not? Let me explain that. I feel like everyone had very over the top reactions to just about everything that happened. For example, someone was almost always crying. But then, whenever there was a real issue, it was solved quickly and easily. And half the issues shouldn’t have been issues to begin with, I feel. All of that to say, I did love Wesley and Cooper. Both were fun, charming, and kind men. They went so well together. I loved Cooper’s bad boy image and the juxtaposition between that and how sweet and caring he was toward Wes. I loved how Wes was always just himself, so sweet and caring. The added issues of money, Copper’s mom, and the fake boyfriend’s plot were great additional conflicts. There weren’t many spicy scenes, but the few we had were really great! 3/5 spice levels.

Notes: lingerie, fake boyfriend, financial troubles, financial differences, size difference, parental trauma, supportive family, best friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, second chance

Cooper and Wesley haven't seen or spoken to each other since they broke up nine years ago. When Wesley starts to feel pressure from his family about finding a boyfriend, he panics and tells them Cooper is back in his life. The lie has the two coming back together, pretending to be together to get Wesley's family off his back.
This was such a good fake dating/second chance story. It's told in both flashbacks of the past and present.
Wesley and Cooper were so sweet together even when they were just "pretending". Their connection was natural and raw. There were times when my heart ached for Cooper, he was struggling and Wes had no idea to what extent until they finally talked.
There was a decent amount of miscommunication in the first half or so of the book but I thought it made sense for the storyline. Both characters were still so in love with each other but very stubborn.
This book was definitely more emotional than I expected.
There was a decent amount of angst and misunderstandings but I loved watching Cooper and Wesley make their way back to each other.

4-4.5 stars

This is only the second book from this author, and while I quite liked the first one, I loved this. It's a second-chance, best friends to lovers, fake boyfriends story. Wesley and Cooper were best friends in school, then boyfriends before breaking up and not talking to each for 9 years. The story is told part in present day, part in flashback but it was always clear if we were in the present or the past. It's told in dual POV but again, it's clear who we are with.

It was clear Cooper and Wesley have a lot of history there and I was keen to find out their story. It was obvious right away that these two still had strong feelings for each other and the fake boyfriends thing was either going to end right, or it would end horribly. These two are meant to be together, and I really wanted it to end well for them. There's a fair amount of heat between them too, once they decide they're on again, and in the flashbacks too. I love that slight hint of kink there, these two are compatible in more ways than one. I did think they were more than a little co-dependent though, and I just wished they would actually talk to each other. All that said though, it's a cute story with a fair bit of heat, Wesley's family who are THE most inappropriate and hilarious, and it is heart breaking in parts too. I really enjoyed this and look for more from this author.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

***ARC Review***

This is my honest review for the ARC I received.

Wesley and Cooper have been best friends since they were eight years old. They begin dating as teenagers and break up 3 years later. Miscommunication and misunderstanding keep them apart for nine years. Instead of being upset about that, I chose to believe that the time apart solidified how much they miss, care for, love, and need one another.

The book goes back and forth between present day and the past. Present day, both men are around 27. Wesley doesn’t like to date casually. His mom keeps trying to set him up now that both of his siblings are married. Tired of being set up on dates, Wesley lies to his mother about seeing someone. Enter Cooper, Wesley’s ex-boyfriend, ex-best friend, and the person he hasn’t seen or spoken to in nine years. Cooper’s mom is ill. He worries about her and takes care of her. She’s the only family he has. He needs money, so Cooper agrees to help Wesley out after he offers to pay him to pretend to be boyfriends again.

Both MCs go through an emotional journey. Old feelings and desires resurface. Both are still in love with the other but refuse to admit it. They have to navigate all of the strong emotions and memories flooding them while trying to convince their families of their relationship, and also trying to maintain their sanity and dignity.

There are some angsty moments in this story. While the MCs are a very endearing couple, gosh do they go through it! This story definitely took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions! I was up high, free falling down low, spinning in loops. I wanted to hug both main characters. I wanted to slap them, especially Cooper, at times. I cheered for them. I thought maybe things are going this way for a reason. Growth. I rooted for them again. Is emotional whiplash a thing? If so, I experienced it. Bless Riley for being able to toe the line with them. Still, this story is so darn good. Wesley and Cooper really are meant for each other. They certainly work hard for their HEA. I was holding my breath and crossing my fingers hoping that they would figure all of their stuff out. And they did. So it’s all good. ;) I would definitely recommend.

Note the author’s trigger warnings at the beginning of the book. TW: explicit teen sex, the death of a parent due to cancer, and mentions of parental abandonment.
