I can never get sick of reading this graphic novel series and this volume was no different.
We get so much more backstory lore on the main trio and even more questions to ponder as I wait for the next installment to read. Taako’s development with Death is so sweet even if it is only crumbs we get (crumbs are better than nothing because it means I'm not delulu). Taako is still my favorite character obviously but I seriously love them all. This installation especially has me wondering what’s real and what’s not, who’s being truthful, and who’s a liar (or withholding truths) from the main trio.
I love the concept of a time loop in this particular volume because it made things so much more entertaining knowing (in some capacity) that the characters’ montage of deaths would not be permanent. The jump from chapter 20 to 100 was insane but definitely worth it to show (without being meticulous about the irrelevant details) the trial-and-error aspect of the time loop.
The GM doesn’t make as many appearances in this volume than others which I sort of miss in the banter between him and the trio (breaking the fourth wall).
Again, I can’t wait to binge the next volume of this series!!
