this story is one of my favorites in The Adventure Zone: Balance and Carey makes it exceptionally clear why. her visual storytelling only enhances Griffin's most devastating and heartwarming moments from the podcast. so many clever ways of adapting a very convoluted time travel story, and Carey's art and Clint's writing only get better as this series goes on. can't wait for the next one!

A great return to form after I was slightly underwhelmed by book 4 (which i still enjoyed, don't get me wrong!). The humour is captured so well, and we're now getting into the parts where the big through-plot and character growth really kick off in a big way.

4.0

3.5 the first half was oddly paced and difficult to get immersed into, unlike earlier works. but the final 3rd did a lot of heavy lifting for the story. The art was 5/5 as per usual

This arc is one of my favorites so I was happy to read it in this form! Love a good time loop story!
