Love this series. This one was less laugh aloud funny but more emotional! My poor Magnus! As always the art is too precious! Love
WOW.
I have so many thoughts.
I was super excited when news of this released, and my excitement was not in vain. I've loved the podcast since I began listening to it, the rest of the graphic novels are phenomenal, and I'm so glad to be living in the same time period as this series.
The visuals blew me away. I thought volume 4 was the most colorful, but this one took the cake. The visuals for every death that the group went through every loop were fantastic. The colors popped and contrasted, and completely complimented the tone of the current event.
This was also the most emotional of the graphic novels. The stakes reach their peak here, especially as Magnus reveals to the group that his wife is dead when they all speak to the chalice. Magnus, Taako, and Merle each experience the worst days of their lives over again for the final loop, which sobers the tone of the graphic novel in preparation for The Suffering Game.
Because I listened to the podcast a while ago, I was happy to read this and discover new things about it. I'm very excited for the next volumes!

Rating: 5/5 This is another installment based on the podcast of the same name, done by the McElroy brothers and their dad. The Bureau has found another Grand Relic, and it’s time itself. A small mining town got trapped in a bubble of magic, and as the three of them go in to try and discover the cause, they get blown up and die. But they’re not dead? It’s 11 am again, and it’s a classic time loop. Now they have to stop the loop and resist the temptation to rewrite the worst days of their lives. — I really enjoy all of the TAZ graphic novels, and this was no different. I’m really glad that this is one way I can enjoy TAZ, especially since I’ve been told that these adaptions are pretty faithful to the source material. The story in this one was really touching, and very much centered on family and love.
