Cute book! I just love Raina Telgemeier, and so do my students. The portrayal of Raina and her sister, Amara, is so true and relatable to anyone who has a sister. Loved it!

Another cute one by Raina :)

I want more to this story, a follow-up maybe?

As a sister myself many of the stories and scenes held true to my own experience. As always Telemeirer's artwork is lovely and accessible, but the story fell a bit flat for me. The idea of showing the relationship of siblings through flashbacks and a road trip is interesting but these tidbits just felt incomplete.

Even though I'm way older than the target audience, this really resonated with me.

A solid story. I preferred Ghosts, however.

Oh, sisters. A love/hate relationship. Raina and her younger sister Amara always seem to be at odds with one another. But on a road trip across the country, the girls find they at least have each other (and understand each other) when no one else does.

Middle school.

I don’t know why I don’t just automatically buy Raina Telgemeier’s books. I waited for this one to come through for me. Because pre-teen girls love her books, I had to wait a seriously long time. It’s understandable, though. If I was a teen girl, I would totally love her stories. I still do, even as an adult.

In this book, she really captured what it’s like to have a sister. And I don’t blame Raina at all for being freak out by The Incident. It was just as good as Smile. I really, really want to know what happens next to Raina’s family. I wish the author could create the books as fast as I can read them! I don’t know what she’s planning for her next book, but I know I will definitely read it!

Liked this even better than "Smile". Maybe because I care more about family dynamics than school drama, but *shrug*

Recommended to fans of Smile, those who like stories about siblings and roadtrips, and, of course, to graphic novel devotees.
