Very fun! I didn't enjoy it quite as much as "Smile" but this follow up story still has Telegemeier's trademark realism and excellent illustrations. I love that she is able to create such familiar and realistic stories, with humor and sensitivity. These are problems real kids face, and I enjoy watching how the characters work through their difficulties. A must-read for anyone who has read "Smile" and for those who enjoy realistic, REAL stories!

I enjoyed this book a lot. It continues the family story set up in Smile but focuses on the bond and sometimes dysfunction of two sisters. I found that I liked this book more than Smile and it had a lot of laughable family moments. Great addition for my school library.
I like that in the end they both realize they were wrong and try to fix it.
Okay. So I don't have a sister.....but I have a sibling. Every child can understand and relate to having a sibling that you wished for......and that it's sometimes an issue ;) I love Raina Telgemeier writing "memoirs" in the form of youth graphic novels.
The story made me smile. Especially the king snake hiding in the car only to reveal itself on a roadtrip! I cannot relate to that!! It is also a growing pains story, a struggling family story....kids from all walks of life can find something in it to hold on to.
I can now do reader's advisory on it much more thoroughly!

I really enjoyed this follow up to “smile” although I would be lying if I didn’t admit to liking the first one a lot more.
I don't know what this book really want. So not reading it again. But to be fair , nice story .
adventurous
challenging
emotional
funny
hopeful
inspiring
<SPOILER> I can really relate because my little sister and me we argue almost every day. And I kinda wished I didn't get a sister I always wanted cause... But she's only four so... and I like that this book was made the same year I was born.
funny
lighthearted
medium-paced
It was fine. But really not a lot happens. The trip seemed like it was a bit tedious, so that was captured well. But when you are writing a memoir, your life is your life. But I guess I would have preferred a different chapter. Readable enough and art was fine.
