Definitely amusing, but unfortunately featured a rushed romance.
In this second book, Ivy is back and still lazy as ever, but this time she is infiltrating a reality tv show reminiscent of 'Survivor' only with a magical twist. This part of the story was much more amusing than I was anticipating, as I absolutely dislike watching reality tv shows in real life.
Unfortunately, Ivy's interactions with the love interest Raphael Winter were oddly stilted and then suddenly shifted into love declarations out of nowhere. It was disappointing given the nice slow-burn vibe up to the very end of the previous book. I was hoping for a more gradual relationship build-up. Additionally, there was a choice that Ivy was given that was barely explained with very high-stakes consequences and yet Ivy goes right along with it, which really doesn't go along with her personality up to that point.
However, this was still a fun enough read for me to round up to four stars and continue on with the next book. I'm interested to see what happens next given Raphael's surprising decision and the repercussions to Ivy's actions.

This was a big disappoinment, especially compared to the first book in the series - too long, repetitive, meandering and just plain boring. There are, what feels like, dozens of new characters here, none of whom is there for long enough to matter or become in any way recognizable (forget about likable!) and all these personality-less people are running around performing meaningless theatrics. It's neither humorous not entertaining - only annoying and pathetic. I could hardly believe this book was written by the same author as the first one.
Now I am not sure I want to read the next book...

Loved it! I'm immediately jumping into book 3. I'm so glad I found this series. It's got that perfect mix of comedy, romance, grit and mystery.
Fun book. More like 4 1/2 for the ending but still. I don't watch Survivor, not even one episode but this was still cute and fun.
A worthy sequel to the very fun first book, this time Ivy is going undercover on her favourite reality tv show, as a favour to the Order. But what starts out as a dream job takes a dire turn as sinister forces are obviously at work.
Enchantment has set its first ever wilderness survival season in the isolated Scottish Highlands, but as bodies turn up and sheep go missing, everyone on the show is more concerned with their own secrets and hidden agendas.
When the zombies start showing up, it's up to Ivy - with clandestine aid from Winter - to sort through the layers of lies and save the helpless showbiz lambs from the slaughter. Brutus, Ivy's contrary feline familiar, has a claw in as well
