Ivy Wilde is back. She's still not part of the Order and now her relationship with Rafael "Rafe" Winter is non-existent. Well, it is until he shows up at her door. To be fair, it is with the Ipsissimus and they're asking her for a favor. But he's there! and she has a chance to get a job on her favorite show, Enchanted. Of course, that doesn't mean she actually wants to work....
This book definitely isn't as good as the first one but I didn't have the same problems with the book that Sarah outlined in the podcast where I originally heard about this.

I enjoyed reading this book and about the nuances of a survivor type magical competition. The craziness and cattiness that goes on behind the scenes was entertaining. The romance between the leads was lackadaisical, I didnt see this deep connection that simmered between them, when they were barely interacting.
Overall I enjoyed this book

Another fun, light read from Ms Harper. Ivy Wilde is once more pulled back into the Magical Union to investigate a brutal murder on the fringes of a magic based reality to programme.
I enjoy the protagonist being inherently lazy, that speaks to me on a soul deep level. This book is once again incredibly easy to read an the pacing is just right as is the length, one doesn't feel like the plot drags at all. If you've got a few hours and few quid to spare you could do worse than giving this book a go.
Right I'm off to read the next one.

As funny as the first one. The mystery part was better in this one, maybe because the focus was mainly on Ivy and not on a partnership. But I did wish there was more with Winter in this book.
The second in a utterly charming series. Self-proclaimed lazy witch Ivy Wilde is called back to work with the Order and Adeptus Exemptus Rafe Winter (ooolala) on the set of her favorite TV show Enchantment because of a grisly murder with magical origins. The wildness of Scotland, 11 other contestants who hate her guts, and someone who
