Gripped me from the very beginning. Couldn't put it down. Fast paced, hight tension, high stakes Romantasy with good plot to romance balance. Hit a lot of the typical tropes but in a way that still felt new and interesting. I loved how the puzzle pieces were slowly revealed to us piece by price. Will definitely be picking up the next one.

Is Historical Dystopian Romantasy my new favorite genre? Because wow. This book was dark, gritty, and absolutely captivating. Normally love triangles aren’t my thing, but this one had me hooked—the tension was downright scrumptious. Add in the rebellion vibes and a dash of Peaky Blinders energy, and I was sold.
What surprised me most was how deeply it affected me—the lies and deception cut sharp, but the love and devotion pulled me right in. To say I was invested in the story and these characters is a massive understatement. Stacey McEwen, you’ve ruined me in the best way.
