Skip the first 2/3 of this book- it’s a poorly written parable that detracts from the genuine insights into how teams function.

Worth the read, especially if you're interested in empowering people to do the things that invigorate them and/or identify what doesn't.

95% of the meat of this book is in the last quarter. The beginning meanders aimlessly until we get to the brainstorm session. The 6 working genius model is the project life cycle applied to roles in the workplace and people’s approaches to tasks in general. It is VERY exciting. The beginning could have been edited down to half the size but, hell, then they probably wouldn’t make as much money off of it.

It spends the whole time talking about the meeting where they decided on the 6 geniuses instead of getting into details of application. Kinda feels rambly.

I like the assessment and the information about working geniuses, competencies and frustrations. I just didn't think the story ahead of all the technical info added all that much. Looking forward to putting my new geniuses to work though!
