Very surprised at how easy and engaging the writing was for how old the book is. Definitely reawakened a liking for mystery stories.

I have loved Sherlock Holmes stories since I was a kid. Reread (well, listened on audiobook. *highly recommend the Simon Vance version) this one to teach it to a Creative Writing class and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Perfect Oct/Nov read.

And it’s super interesting, I also love Agatha Christy, and the Husband and I are reading Death on the Nile out loud together, at the same time as I’ve been reading this. Both are good, but Sherlock takes the cake. But the side by side comparison has been fun.

I enjoyed this book.

Relatos cortos e independientes entre si.

Algunos relatos más entretenidos q otros y alguno predecible en cuanto a la resolución.

Nice little stories that interest but do not captivate.
adventurous mysterious fast-paced

Only read a few stories for class. But I enjoyed them very much!

Re-read. Originally read, uhhhh, a very, very long time ago. I had forgotten everything so it was all like new. Still holds up. :)

this was decent. I liked the full length book better than this collection of short stories, but I generally prefer full length to short stories. It was good, and fun to read, but not nearly as good as The Hound of the Baskervilles.
