Sally in this sequel I found Laura Jean's naive positivity grating rather than charming. 2.5* rounded up

Man, I felt ooooold listening to this 🤣

The love triangle, the petty drama. It’s all so immaterial. The “I don’t think sex us all that important” said no 16 year old boy ever.

Despite all that, I still enjoyed it. I think it’s the fact that the movies are comfort movies, so the book automatically becomes a comfort book 🤣

"If we're so guarded, it's not going to be anything. Let's do it fucking for real, Lara Jean. Let's go all in. No more contract. No more safety net. You can break my heart. Do whatever you want with it."

My little sister recommended this to me because I loved "The summer I turned pretty." I saw audible had all 3 books for free, so I finished all 3 in 2 days. I loved these so much! It was such a cute story, but let me tell you, there were parts I was just rolling my eyes. Read it and get where I'm coming from.

i wasn't really sure where this one was going at first, and i'm not quite sure i'm a fan of the ending. HOWEVER, some of the conflict in this one felt more real and aggravating (in a satisfying and entertaining way). i will probably be team john ambrose mcclaren until i die. and maybe we should not be accepting absolute garbage treatment from a child named P E T E R of all things.
