far worse than the first one. What kept me going throughout was just how much I loved Peter and Lara Jean and Kitty and just everyone. Lara's decisions tended to annoy me. I think it could have been much better, and I didn't particularly like how things were wrapped up or just done in general. This was mediocre, while the first was amazing, and had me laughing or feeling at every moment. Ultimately, I'm quite disappointed.

(june 2017- after a reread i still adhere to my opinion that this is inferior to the first book. it's not necessarily written poorly, i just loved the first one so much. it was my type of fluffy, romantic, hilarious story. i still love all these characters but i have never really liked john ambrose mclaren so my experience was not as good as other peoples'. i vastly prefer peter so having to read half the book with lara jean just falling in love immediately post-peter was mildly bothersome. i do like how it ended, overly romantic cheese and all, and i really really love how the time capsule and assassin storylines framed the novel. again, not a big fan of j.a.c., i'm just impartial to him and him/lj. i like the gen thing where she took out the friendship bracelet and hid it. anyway. enough of that. i still very much enjoyed this book. i super super appreciate stormy and all her shenanigans. i thought the meme thing was pretty fucking dumb though, not going to lie. an author just cant include the word meme in a book and expect me to take it seriously. so anyway. yeah. overall, i still care deeply for a select few of the characters and i liked the story.

En helt underbar och mysig bok! Bättre än den första!

I think if i were in Lara Jean's position, I would go for John Ambrose because not only is his timing right, but he is better (at least better than Kavinsky; kind of like the guy you'd want your parents to meet) and far more deserving of LJ's affections. But that's just me. Props to LJ for her loyalty and understanding. Peter, on the other hand, has to give LJ some credit. If positions were reversed, he surely would have gone berserk seeing LJ embracing another boy.

Anyhow, I think I liked this one better than To All The Boys (despite the stars) because my frustration transferred from LJ to Peter and I don't like not being to like the protagonist. Now that LJ has Peter, may i have the Sundance Boy all to myself?

Kind of funny at how all over the place this book was, but also kind of sad that it’s over. I would’ve been obsessed with this series when I was 14. Ten years later, it’s still good, but also awkward and toxic and cringey. But it’s a smooth read- short chapters that keep you interested. Finished the second half within one night. Even though I wasn’t rooting for the way it ended, I caught myself smiling throughout the majority of the book. On to part three!

Two things: 1. I ordered this second book immediately after finishing the first one and started it shortly after getting it in the mail two days later. 2. This was the least favorite of the three but still very special to my heart. Also, spoilers ahead. You've been warned.

This book picks up practically where the first one ends, with a letter to Peter K. explaining that even though they were fighting or broken up, or whatever it was that they were, Lara Jean still feels things for him and wants everything to work out. And they do, sort of.

This book changes the relationship between Peter K. and Lara Jean because it is no longer pretend, and we can really see the insecurities a 16 year old girl has when she starts her first real relationship, from what he's experienced in the past, to how she looks, to what others think. With these insecurities come doubts, and possible feelings for other people. More specifically, John Ambrose McClaren, who comes back into Lara Jean's life and stirs feelings that leave her more confused than ever. We also see Peter K. in sort of a bad light, which really caused my stomach to turn, because I loved him so.

While this book was not my favorite, the family dynamics, the realness of characters, and the simple, but realistic story is all still there and kept me hooked to the book until the end. In the end, we get closure, and it could have been satisfying to end the story this way, but I'm glad it didn't end there.

Nothing much happened in the first half of this book, and then the main conflict centered around a misunderstanding between the two main characters (Lara Jean and Peter). I think the second half was stronger than the first. The best part about this series is the relationship and dialogue between Lara Jean's family, but the romance wasn't as compelling as it was in the first book.

I love lara jean so much😭😭😭 The thing I loved reading about in this the most was the relationships she has with her family, and all her friends
