Engaging read
I read this book in a day and a half. The characters and the story line grabbed me and drew me in. Unique premise that I found enjoyable overall.

I enjoyed this story very much. A few things didn't quite ring true to me, and whenever that happens, I find myself feeling slightly annoyed with the story. I felt like the character of Suzette was a bit overdone; she did not feel realistic to me. A woman as obsessive about cleaning and having a perfect home didn't seem like the sort of person who would have a dog, though I enjoyed the interaction between Mia and the dog. Yet even so, I wanted to hear more about what justice Suzette faced after her conviction. The book mentioned prison but left out the details. And I really wanted to know more about how Mia's mother died. I felt like that family had such a horrible loss that wasn't really wrapped up enough. Still, the story held my interest and was an easy read that wasn't too fluffy for my tastes.
An emotionally charged read about finding where you belong.
A teen down on her luck begins again in the home of an empty nester.
The neighbors, meanwhile, are fostering a secret that will change everything.
A cast of characters that redefine what “family” and “home” mean.
An enjoyable read, not heart racing by any means: but definitely heartwarming. It’s the kind of book I stay up late to finish and feel good finishing it.

5 Star Thriller
Multi layered thriller. Thought provoking and perfect for a book club! I hated Suzette the entire story for her narcissistic personality.
Ethics, Kidnapping, Narcissism, Selflessness & Abuse in many fashions

How in the actual hell did this book get classified as thriller, suspense, horror, or mystery? I truly don't understand.
I kept waiting for a big reveal, plot twist, even just some sort of suspenseful turn, and nothing ever came. I liked the characters, but the story itself wasn't exciting to me. Even the ending was kind of abrupt and left me disappointed.

Too predictable, tedious and an awful storytelling. Where’s the horror here? Or the thriller, the mystery? I managed only 3 hours. I don’t get all the 5⭐️ ratings. The author clearly considers her readers stupid and overexplains each character thought and move. This is more of a Hallmark family story than a psychological thriller. Buuh
I really liked this book! It followed Edwin and Wendy who lost their daughter to drugs; it followed niki who is a foster kid who needs a good home and her “grandmother”; and it follows Mia and Jacob who lead an interesting story! The suspense is behind how they all connect and when you figure it out, it’s crazy! This book had me hooked from the beginning!

A quick read with very simple characters and a straight forward plot. Nothing is a huge mystery and there aren’t any plot twists. But the characters you are supposed to like you do, and the ones you are supposed to dislike you do. The ending wraps up everything quickly with ultimately happy/positive outcomes for all. Overall enjoyable writing and an easy reading experience.
I enjoyed this one. It was a quick and compelling read, with just enough suspense.
