I enjoyed the relationship between Sharon and her daughter Amy and then how big Sharon's heart was when Nicki was added. The Flemings were frustrating to me. I wanted to yell at mrs Fleming but, she was so self centered she would not have listened. I wanted to tell Mr Fleming that there are consequences for actions, face them and you can move on and have a life. Jacob was caught between a rock and a hard place. I'm glad the author gave him a good, sensitive heart. There was a parallel story that makes things a bit predictable but,, I don't believe you'll mind.I listed to the audio version and it was done very well. I think you will enjoy this book.
The story itself was great (only reason I kept reading) but this book is horribly written. I sometimes wondered if it was self published. Was there no editor to help this woman out? Ugh.
