Magic Hour is one of those books that quietly sneaks up on you and grabs your heart. From the first chapter, I was drawn into the haunting beauty of the Pacific Northwest and the mystery around Alice. Kristin Hannah has a real talent for creating characters you want to cheer for, and here she tells a tender, emotional story that mixes mystery, family drama, and hope in a way that feels honest and uplifting. Julia’s determination to reach Alice, along with the complicated and sometimes messy relationships around them, made the emotional moments even more powerful. The pacing kept me interested, and just when I thought I had the story figured out, another layer appeared. If I’m being picky, there were a few times I wished some plot points had been explored more, but that didn’t take away from how invested I felt. By the end, I was holding my breath, hoping for Julia and Alice. This is a heartfelt, moving story that stays with you long after you finish it.
