This is a story full of wonder and emotion. The magic is in the relationships. There are a few storylines but the main one revolves around the mysterious “wolf girl” and the publicly ruined child psychologist Julia Cates. I loved seeing the gradual progress with the girl and the growing trust and love between all the characters. Some parts of the story were heartbreakingly tragic but it never got too gruesome with the details. Would give 4.5 stars but I’m rounding down just because some might find it too predictable and the ending too easy.

Wanted to sob my God damn heart out towards the end ( couldn't because I can't feel anything this time of year ) but I did enjoy this book. The begining felt like it dragged on but once there were more scenes with Alice and from her point of view it picked up !
