I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. Gray is part of the Stalked by a Monster series. This is also the first book that I have read from this author. Dorian Gray wanted screams and tears. Nothing else would do. As soon as he spotted Sylvia Sybil, he knew she would give him everything he wanted. Sylvia, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with Mr. Dorian Gray.
This book was short and steamy. Measha Stone has a way with words. Readers are made to feel ok with this out-of-ordinary situation much like Sylvia acclimated to it. Dorian is always in control and in charge. Sylvia was supposed to be a one-time thing but something pulled him to her. Would he ever get enough? Will he be able to let go of control and let love in?
I am loving this series and cannot wait to read the next book.

I wanted there to be more here. I felt like the story started halfway over. The characters were introduced rather quickly and I would have enjoyed more cat and mouse games with Gray essentially stalking Sylvia and developing this intrigue. I feel that had this background game been happening in the beginning it would have been easier for me to invest myself in the book. I enjoyed the care he took with Sylvia, even when he's being "rough" he still remembers it's her, he maintains a certain degree of control.
The story wasn't fully fleshed out but the concept was there! Had this been longer I think I would have genuinely enjoyed it but for now it was a quick read with some fun steamy scenes that helped distract me from reality a bit.

Quick Quick read..
It's a different take on Dorian Gray which is ultimately what drew me to this book.
Kidnapped..
Spanked..
We love a good damaged MMC and Dorian fits that bill. Sylvia had a backbone at the beginning but then it seemed to soften the longer she was with Dorian well at certain parts anyways.
This was an easy light quick read for me and more enjoyable than I thought it would be.
Is it bad I expected more for this to be the Dark Romance category? Might be just me but it was light on the darkness, it was a sprinkling compared to what I think of Dark Romance.
Overall it was nice to read a book from a new to me author, now onto more!

I was gripped from the very first sentence.
And I stayed that way until the end.
I thought the first part of the book was more intense because I didn’t know which direction it would go. So it had more of a thrill to it. Because the not knowing always does.
Then the rest was on the interactions and dynamics of what’s happening with Dorian and Sylvia.
This is were the spice and sizzle takes place.
Dorian is rich, powerful and always gets what he wants.
I liked his confidence and arrogant attitude. I found it sexy and alluring.
Sylvia is a professional violinist and is known in the orchestra world.
She’s beautiful and talented. But doesn’t enjoy the parties and gatherings her mother insists on her attending. While she’s outgoing when she’s around others. I saw her more as enjoying her own company.
When she catches the eye of Dorian he becomes obsessed. He must have her by any means necessary at whatever cost.
Their chemistry is hot without a doubt. With time the chemistry changes to something more.
And neither can come to terms nor wrap their heads around what is happening.
This story is fast paced and a page turner. It’s sexy and spicy with some outside drama to keep things even more interesting.

The story itself seem a bit rushed for me. I wanted to love it, but I couldn't.

This is a amazingly read that pulls you in from the very first page tell the very ending. The emotion between characters has strong chemistry.

Sometimes I'm in the mood for a stalkerish, NC story and that's what this one is. It's steamy and dark and kept me glued to the pages. I loved the chemistry between Dorian and Sylvia and the gothic feel the read had. I've always loved the original story and feel that Ms. Stone has only improved on it. She took that darkness and kicked it up.

Gray was a short, quick read by Measha Stone.
Sylvia Sybil is a violinist. Dorian sees her when he attends a charity event in London, where Sylvia is playing the second violin.
Sylvia’s mother wants her to marry James Weatherby, her thinking is that as a 25 year old woman, Sylvia should be married by now. Not just married, but to someone with means, so that she may be cared for in her old age. Sylvia’s mom sees James Weatherby as her meal ticket. He is successful and has the right number of pounds in his bank account to be an attractive son-in-law. Sylvia does not share her mother’s sentiments.
“Does James have an interest in my Sylvia? If he does, it only makes my conquest all the sweeter.”
When it comes to Dorian, I couldn’t get the image of a hungry wolf hunting his prey. Although “the hunt” ends up being a kidnapping, as Dorian has Sylvia drugged and takes her to his home. Dorian knows what he wants and one can tell he’s a powerful man who gets what he wants. There is a cat and mouse play between Dorian and Sybil, even though you know the outcome will be inevitable.
“I take a step back from her, a small show of defeat, even if it is in pretence only.”
“When he meets her it is all the sweeter because she denies him.”
“I won’t back down. I will not show this man fear. He seems to feed on it. . . I can’t avoid looking into his eyes. Power. Control. He reeks of it.”
Although Dorian is fierce and strong, he is gentle with Sylvia. He has complete possession of her with no force or demand. Although Sylvia should be shouting for her release, her pleas are weak, unconvincing whispers. Dorian says he can’t let her go, he doesn’t want to and promises that she won’t want him to either.

Dorian Gray as you have never heard about him before. Measha has given us an different side to this timeless character. Yes he is arrogant and confident but in this version he is very Alpha and demanding in the bedroom.
Sylvia has caught Dorian’s attention and quickly comes to realize that this man stops at nothing to get what he wants and now she is his obsession . His unorthodox way of obtaining her is shocking but also demonstrates the extremes he will go to get the object of his desire.
Measha has written a spectacular retelling of this tale and as always she has delivered wonderfully.
