Another winner in the Redwall series! I absolutely loved this book, as well as the characters (and the food!). The humor sparkled, the story clicked and the pacing was fabulous. There was quite a lot going on, which prevents me from giving the full 5-star rating, and I think a little more focus would have been nice, but it was pretty minor. This is a 4.5 star book.

Can't wait for the next one!

I recommend to all fans of fantasy, or just fiction in general, you won't be disappointed!

I have truly enjoyed all of the Redwall books so far. I find them easy to read, predictable for my age but absolutely beautiful and a welcome change of pace. I love Mariel, she is fierce, kind and wise beyond her years. She overcomes every obstacle and shines as a heroine. I cannot wait to get my kids into these! I love that these are not geared towards any gender, just adventure-seekers. Well worth the time to read I have shed a few tears throughout this series and I am sure I will shed more either from joy or sorrow.

This is the fourth in the Redwall series. The hares, badgers, mice, and other creatures face a dual mission: Protect Redwall Abbey and defeat Grabool, Lord of the Seas.

By this point in the series, I was getting pretty familiar with the Jacques 'formula', and already tired of it. This one didn't even have the redeeming feature of having a likable main character.

I do always enjoy the hares, though. They're hilarious, and the main source of enjoyment in this installment.
