Oh my melting heart. This was just so precious and lovely and necessary. Representation matters and loving adults matter to kids; in fact, they are essential. Thank you to the author for writing this sweet book.

I listed to this audiobook while at work and it was a mistake. I was SOBBING in my office. Such a great book. The emotions felt so pure and relatable.

I just read it in one shot, it was amazing!!! Very touching, smooth, soothing, cute, truthfully told, everybody should read this book and have it as an exemple of love and acceptance. The writing was soooo heartmoving and I loved the versification. It was great. <3

Absolutely lovely, poetic, and emotional. About a young girl working out if it's okay to have a crush on another girl, feelings, parent relationships, and sea creatures,

A book for middle grade children, whilst the protagonist Stevie says she is 11, she feels younger maybe 9-10, definitely still at primary school. Stevie has feelings for Chloe in her class and she doesn't understand them, in the same way she doesn't understand everything about the ocean. It's harder to find ways of understanding her feelings though. This is a wonderful book written in prose with very short sentences as a child would do, it very much captures what it is to be a child and also the confusion of having your first crush, especially when its for someone of the same gender.

A lovely story of a young girl finding her place in a world of fear and worry by taking one deep breath at a time.
