I really enjoyed this book, a real roller coaster of a read with twists throughout. A bit gory at times but thoroughly enjoyable.

Sorry for being a hater again, but the ending was like You're Next, if it was not good.
This wasn't great and a lot of it really didn't sit right with me. Some of the phrases, word choices, it was all just a bit slimy. I don't know how to explain it but it almost seemed like it was written in a different decade, considering it is only a few years old it seems weird to me.
I think the characters weren't great. They started off fairly strong but steadily descended into being. very one dimensional. The "villains" tried too hard and their actions in the ending seemed to escalate far from where they began. The protagonist was reckless and honestly pretty stupid at times. And the ending was seriously dramatic but somehow sill manages to be underwhelming.
There were good things to this book, it was fast paced and very heavy on the action. But there is no thrill, you already know everything so early one and the characters aren't strong enough to make the story work for me.
A little disappointing but at least I can remove it from my tbr.

This book was craaazy. Intense, gory and action packed. Felt kind of like a Liam Neeson movie but I couldn’t put it down. Need to read something funny now!
Darby Thorne is a college student in Colorado driving home to Utah right before Christmas. A blizzard hits, and she is forced to pull off at a rest stop. Darby parks next to a van and gets a glimpse inside, where she sees a child in a dog crate. There are four other people at the rest stop, so Darby needs to determine who is the kidnapper and how to set the girl free.
I didn’t think this book lived up to the hype. I wasn’t even convinced initially that there was a child in the van, but then it was confirmed. I had a hard time rooting for Darby because she made so many bad decisions. However, it was very fast paced for the last half.

This is hands down my favorite thriller. It’s so fast-paced and made my heart speed up several times! I read a few thrillers before this, but this is what really got me into the genre. SO GOOD, READ IT NOW!
