I didn't expect to like it but I was hooked and could not put it down. One more chapter before bed. One more chapter. Just one more and then I go to sleep.
There is one thing that bothered me. It's how repetitive some information are in the book, as if the author wants to drill it in our minds.
The name of the location where story takes place is mentioned TWENTY-SEVEN times. Each time I came across that name I was getting sligthly more annoyed.
Still a great read overall but expect repetition.

No Exit is a fast-paced thriller that felt like it was being written in the hopes of making it into a screenplay. The action happens over one night. A young college student named Darby Thorne is driving from Colorado to Utah to visit her mother, who is in surgery for pancreatic cancer. She is driving in a blizzard and is forced to stop at a rest stop in the Colorado mountains. It's dark and cold and Darby is alone. Inside, there are four other people. Strangers in the dead of night. And that's when Darby has to confront the face of evil.
When Darby goes outside to try to get a cell phone signal, she discovers there is a child in a cage in a white van parked outside. One of these four strangers is a kidnapper.
I have to say this book was just okay for me. It was certainly a quick read but I guessed the twists right away, except for the ending. My first read of 2019 and I'm not sure it will lodge in my memory by month's end. It did make me realize that I need to read something else for my next book--historical fiction, romance, anything but a thriller. 😳

Major creds to the author for having a story take place in one location a whole book and keeping my interest.
