Hands down one of the BEST books I’ve ever read. This book doesn’t get nearly enough hype. The way she brought it all together amazes me. The ENDING MY GOD the plot twist. I was also so sad in the end. Tarryn doesn’t care about our happy endings
I have no idea what to rate this. The writing was great (Tarryn most definitely has a way with words) but the actual story wasn't what I was expecting. This book was hyped WAY up and I ended up disappointed. I was at 90% and my husband asked what happened and I said, "not much of anything." Senna was just too depressing.
I'm left feeling confused as to whether I HATED this book or loved it. So until I decide it gets a 3 right in the middle. First off it was the complete opposite from what I expected I was going to get to sit down and read. I was really excited for this book to come out but the cover and blurb fed and misled this excitement. The writing was good and what I expected after loving the Love Me with Lies books. The story was either so ridiculous or brilliant but either way it left a lot of holes that I am not a fan of. I didnt connect or really even like any of the characters. But even with all of that I was still glued to my kindle the entire time. Driven to find out what the heck was going on, even though it took me until like 70% to feel like I really even knew, when I would have frustratingly given up in most situations. I'm left feeling empty, depressed and disappointed and almost wishing it had been the book that I expected it to be.
I enjoyed this book. The story was different and interesting. Tarryn writes so beautifully. It just draws you in, but the end felt so rushed. It just didn't work for me at all. It built up for so long and then bam. It left me wanting so much more. I guess I'll never know.
I had no idea what this book was really about when I first started reading it. But wow. This book was really awesome. Tarryn Fisher (author) has such fantastic writing. I loved reading this book because the plot was perfect. I felt like I really knew who Brenna was. She pushed everyone away and eventually she realizes what is best for her. I can't put words into how great it was. You just need to read it :)
This book is poorly written and way too long. I should have stopped once I got bored, but I didn’t and that’s my fault.
The bad pacing, one dimensional characters, and the strange choice to build a setting filled with clues and then not engage with it, all drag down a book with an exciting premise and functional prose.

Another wild book by Tarryn Fisher.
This was really weird and having read Marrow, I knew it was going to be twisty.
I would definitely recommend reading Marrow, then immediately reading this book. While they aren't directly linked, there are some correlations that will change how you look at Marrow. Very interesting and sneaky!

This book left me drained... in a good way. I could not put this book down and now it's over. this book is not the type of book I can finish and then pick up another... this book was nothing short of amazing. now excuse me while I go recover from this reading experience that Tarryn Fisher has put me through. that girl is talented
Meh. Too much trauma. Not as trashy as the cover would have you believe. Crap ending.
