It's a 3,75 star because I loved reading it for its simplicity and how comfortable I felt while reading it. It was just right and this was my kind of book. Not too much drama no miscommunication trope. Just honesty and straightforwardness. it just didn't have the extra spark that made me feel all the big emotions.

The slow burn was great and I love a good enemies to lovers so the premise was great! the ending did leave me a little unsatisfied, I just expected more

It's my first mafia romance and I gotta say, it's not as dark as I think it would be but hell I still wasn't expecting that much blood and murder mentioned (though I should've expected that knowing violence is mentioned in the warnings). Nico Russo got me screaming every freaking time he talks and I totally understand the hype.

Uhm I never read a book with this type of story before, this one intrigued me. Actually, it's not bad. It's actually good. Although Nico and Elena have a lot of flaws, they are absolutely perfect for each other.

Throughout the book you can really tell how much Nico love Elena.

Excited for book two? :)

This was the classic slow burn & miscommunication trope for a majority of the book, but in a good way. My first mafia romance I’ve read so I don’t have much to base it on, but I thought it was a good read. I do think the spicy scenes could have been… spicier… considering he is in the mafia.
