I've read two more recent books by Despentes, which I both liked. I am aware that this is the book that made her famous back in the day and caused a big scandal. I can see why and I appreciate the female main characters, who are doing all the things men do, not only in fiction, but also in real life and and the judgement is not as harsh or there's even none at all.

Unfortunately I'm just not the biggest fan of the writing style and generally not invested enough in the story.

Complete garbage, a book trying to play for your attention with vulgar images and useless violence. There is nothing there but the desire to shock. It feels like a three year old throwing with feces at you, and while this might be fun and daring for the three year old, it's worth forgetting and sending to the trash-bin.
