This book was good. It reminds me of the film Lourdes but also mixed with hp lovecraft Esq stories.

Too slow and dragging for me. I really wanted to finish this book but I always get sleepy after reading a few pages.

dark, brooding, slow-paced, and eloquently written. horror is well, a loose adjective here. i expected something else from the book but what i got was different and i am not sad.

Hated it hard the fact that they used the phrase " retard " for Hanny hated the fact had to be "cured" by poring salty water down his his throat as par as over Catholic religious cure. Hated the over religious tones in this and the book went knowehere

Un slowburner como he visto pocos (hasta el punto que un fanatico de los slowburners como yo casi pierde la paciencia). La ambientación gótica es muy destacable (casi al punto de deprimente): una mezcla de los paramos de Wuthering Heights y la comarca pastoril mas hosca de The Wicker Man.
Las últimas escenas son inimaginables en su horror aunque la desvastación que podrían causar están atenuadas por una delicadesa que otros autores posiblemente no tendrían.

I honestly just got bored and wandered off. I normally like a slow burn but this one wasn't grabbing me. I may try it again later; I own it.
