Yes i read this book in a day. I was concerned a little when hybrids started to come in play. Wasn't sure how it was going to play out in the story and was afraid it was going to become to much of a main focus. I am so far interested in this turn of events.

Let me just start by saying that I LOVE just about ALL of Lynsay Sands Immortal (Argeneau) Novels! She brings a little twist to the whole vampire theme, but they aren't Vampires, just remember that!

With saying that! This book, I think, is one of my least favorites. The only reason I say that is because this story is written a little differently than all of her other stories shes written so far. I feel that there was less sex in the story and more action and drama. Which is fine but the real reason that this book one of the least liked books for me is because the story progressed a little too fast for my taste. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the story to its fullest but it seemed like the ending was a little rushed.

The last chapter takes place a week after Sarita wakes up, well, lets just flash forward to what happened and make it work, and it does but it does leave some readers, like myself, feeling left behind and confused. I also felt that this story was missing something. Not a plot point or anything, I just feel that it's missing a section or piece that I wish was there more.

Real rating is a 2.5. I think that is the lowest rating I have given any book in this series and it surprised me how much I didn't enjoy this book. The series as a whole as been a roller-coaster of enjoyment for me but this book fell flat and annoyed at times.

I read this after a hiatus from reading due to just being too busy and too tired. I should have selected a different book but I figured that these never failed to entertain. Unfortunately the romance was lacking, the lazy writing left me frustrated (especially as a writer myself), and the plot bored me for much of the book. And the statement to acting like "a bitch in heat" is beyond dated and a definite mood killer in today's saturated fiction market. Where is the creativity? This author found a formula and stuck with it leaving her stories stagnant because they are literally all the same.

I think I'm done with this series because this book did nothing for me other than leave me frustrated.

I know this sounds lame, but I love this series. Every book keeps me hooked.

The only reason why I rated this 4 stars is because of all the mystery and action surrounding the doctor, his experiments, and the island. As a couple, I wasn't really feeling any passion from Dom and Sarita. I liked her fiestiness and appreciated his nobility and the references to the greatest love story of all time. I'm very intrigued by Thorne and will have to check to see if he has a story floating around. As always looking at the overall ongoing storyline and I'm happy with where things are going.

Wow that was quite a book! Holy cow. So much going on and hard to say anything without giving away spoilers!
Lets just say I loved all of it.
I felt so bad for Sarita, so much awful in her life. But she got her HEA.
What craziness that is on Dr. Dressler's island. That was a surprise for me, and all the immortals.

I still have questions at the end of this book. But it doesn't end on a cliff-hanger! I just hope that the next book isn't tooo far away

A fantastic book, great addition to the series! Loved this couple and their story, and I can't wait to see how they're going to continue to face this threat!

I did enjoy this book although I found the beginning a bit unsettling. It was fun to meet some immortals in South America and the characters were interesting and fun.
