This book wasn't the best in the series, but it doesn't deter me from continuing on. It just took a long time for me to warm up to the characters. I wasn't all that convinced. I believe part of was that she tried oversell the characters sometimes. Making them a bit too much of their main characteristic and not making the dynamic.
I am definitely not a fan of how their love story came to be either. However, I realized I need to be more open to the alternative paths to love. Either way, the conflict of it was a bit lackluster and that contributed to my rating of the plot. What Bishop does do really well is write love very intensely. She writes the love that every woman would want and writes characters that are emotionally capable of receiving that love because they are mature. I will always adore that.
Initial Response: 3/5; Recommend?: 3/5; Re-Readability: 1/5 Characters: 3/5; Plot: 2.5/5
Overall: 2.5/5
Would Purchase?: Maybe
