3.75. A fairly typical Nicholas Sparks storyline. Although I never found myself weeping, so wasn’t as emotionally connected to these characters. There was a lot of minute detail that could have been condensed. But all in all, an enjoyable story.

Very typical Nicholas Sparks book. The guy was a tad cheesy in this one, which made him hard to really connect with.

This is a slightly suspenseful story written by an author who’s not meant for suspenseful work. I’ve never read anything by Nicholas Sparks, and I’m open to reading one of the more romantic titles, but this was not great. The middle did grab my attention and I did enjoy the various mysteries about Callie, but I didn’t understand the “intense” relationship between Natalie and Trevor. It felt as though there was no real fire between them and I was just not impressed.

2-5/5. The end was cute but the first 3/4 was rough to get through, probably why it took over half a year to read
